National Alarm Systems Acquired by ASG Security

February 14, 2014, Long Grove, IL — ASG Security, Beltsville, MD, has acquired National Alarm Systems of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. National is one of the largest independently owned alarm companies in the Southeast with over 9,000 customers and approximately $300,000 in RMR. Bob Swayman and Mike Brauser, co-owners of National, spent many months looking at several companies to find the right fit. Thirty six employees and Bob Swayman, who will serve as VP/GM of ASG's new South Florida region, will remain with the company. Mike Brauser will continue to own and operate his investment company, Marlin Capital Investments, LLC.

Steve Rubin of Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group, represented the sellers in this transaction. When asked to comment about the transaction, Steve said, "This was a multiyear process. We all stayed with it and everybody walked away from the transaction feeling good about what we had accomplished. ASG, the buyers, were great to work with, as were our clients, National Alarm Systems, who met all of their goals."
